What is Renuva Architectural Film?
Renuva is a premium architectural vinyl film with a hard-wearing surface layer, a printed and textured face, and a water-based pressure-sensitive adhesive on the back. It applies dry, with a squeegee, directly over the surface you already have: flat and gently contoured panels, cabinet fronts, doors, wardrobe fronts, headboard surrounds, and wall panels. The film reproduces the appearance and texture of natural materials (wood grain, marble veining, brushed metal, linen weave) while delivering scratch resistance and stain protection that many of those real materials cannot match indoors.
The brand was created around one idea: renewal should feel effortless, thoughtful, and refined. Instead of a 400-pattern catalog, Renuva offers a curated library of 27 finishes chosen to cover the looks residential and light-commercial projects actually specify. Every one of them is stocked in the US, every one is available as an 8 in x 10 in sample, and all 27 come together in a single hand-held swatch book.
Surface Supply is the US distributor for Renuva and carries the full range, alongside Bodaq® Interior Film and 3M™ DI-NOC™. That matters when you are choosing: we will tell you plainly which of the three films fits your project, including when it is not Renuva.
Why renew with film instead of replacing?
Replacing kitchen cabinets, wardrobe doors, or a run of built-ins means demolition, disposal, new millwork lead times, and a room out of service for weeks. Repainting means sanding, priming, multiple coats, cure time, and a finish that chips at the edges. Renuva keeps the boxes, the doors, and the substrate, and changes only the surface.
Done in a day, dry, and quiet
Renuva applies dry. There is no wet adhesive, no paint, no dust. A kitchen's worth of cabinet fronts can be refaced while the household is home, and the space is usable as soon as the installer packs up. For property managers and light-commercial refreshes, that means no vacancy and no closure.
More cost effective than replacement or repainting
Material is priced per roll, not per cabinet door, and labor is measured in hours. Compared with new cabinetry, re-veneering, sheet-metal fabrication, or a professional lacquer job, Renuva delivers the look for a fraction of the cost. Every Renuva product page carries the same promise for its series: more cost effective than replacing or repainting the surface it is designed for.
Built for daily use
The surface layer is scratch- and abrasion-resistant and stands up to busy households. Fingerprints and marks wipe clean with a damp cloth, with no refinishing or resealing, and the film resists common household stains and cleaners.
A 5-year warranty
Renuva Architectural Film carries a 5-year warranty. It is a long-term finish, not a temporary graphic, and the warranty reflects that.

Fire rating: when to choose Renuva, and when not to
Renuva is not marketed as a fire-rated film. That is a deliberate scope decision, not a gap in testing we are hiding. Renuva is built for residential kitchens, baths, bedrooms, furniture, and light-commercial refreshes where a flame-spread certificate is not part of the submittal. If your project is a hotel corridor, a healthcare facility, an elevator cab, or any space where the authority having jurisdiction will ask for an ASTM E84 Class A report, specify Bodaq® Interior Film (every finish is rated ASTM E84 Class A for US interior use, reports issued per pattern series) or 3M™ DI-NOC™. We stock both and will help you match a Renuva look to a rated equivalent.
Where Renuva is used
Renuva bonds to smooth, sealed interior surfaces: painted or laminated MDF and particleboard, sealed wood, metal, and rigid plastics. It is at its best on the flat and gently contoured panels that make up most residential joinery.
- Kitchen cabinet refacing. Doors, drawer fronts, end panels, and islands, in Premium Wood, Painted Wood, Matte Solid, High Gloss Solid, or Soft Matte. The most common Renuva project.
- Wardrobes and closets. Sliding and hinged wardrobe fronts in High Gloss or Fabric, walk-in closet built-ins in Premium Wood.
- Bathroom vanities and feature walls. Vanity surrounds and wall panels in Marble; vanity doors in Matte Solid.
- Interior doors and trim. Slab doors, frames, and trim in Painted Wood or Metal for a matched, lacquer-like look without paint.
- Furniture and built-ins. Desks, shelving, media walls, headboard surrounds, and entertainment units.
- Light commercial. Rental and multifamily unit turns, salon and boutique fixtures, office furniture and reception fronts where fire documentation is not required.
Like every architectural film, Renuva follows the substrate. Fill and sand dents, tighten proud hardware, and seal porous surfaces before you apply. Preparation is what separates a factory-looking result from a visible one.
The eight Renuva series
Twenty-seven finishes, organized by material. Each series link below opens its collection on surfacesupply.com; each finish has a sample on its product page.
Premium Wood · 6 finishes (PW1512, PW1514, PW1516, PW1518, PW1520, PW1522)
Layered printing with textured embossing so the grain you feel follows the grain you see. The series runs from pale ash and sandy oak through honey oak to deep mahogany. PW1516 Honey Oak, a warm golden oak with an even natural grain, is the go-to for doors, millwork, and furniture in warm residential spaces.
Painted Wood · 4 finishes (RW1412, RW1414, RW1416, RW1418)
Painted color over a subtle raised-grain texture, for the look of brushed and lacquered joinery. Warm whites through soft greys. RW1412 Warm White Painted Wood, with visible brushstroke grain and a hand-painted character, refreshes cabinet fronts, wardrobes, doors, and trim in classic interiors.
Marble · 3 finishes (ST1105, ST1107, ST1109)
Natural stone recreated with realistic depth and mineral variation, from soft honed onyx to classic veined marble. ST1109 Cloud White Marble pairs a bright white ground with dense, feathered grey veining and a polished-marble depth for feature walls, vanity surrounds, and furniture.
Metal · 2 finishes (ME1213, ME1215)
Metallic pigments with precision surface texturing, from hairline-brushed to fine-grain stipple. ME1213 Brushed Champagne Metal carries a warm champagne-silver tone with fine brushing running the length of the film, made for doors, panels, appliance surrounds, and trim in modern interiors.
Matte Solid · 6 finishes (MT1701, MT1703, MT1705, MT1707, MT1709, MT1711)
Low-sheen single colors in smooth and finely textured surfaces. The quiet, uniform look that anchors cabinet, door, and panel refacing. MT1711 Charcoal Matte is a deep charcoal with a finely textured matte surface for bold modern kitchens and feature panels.
High Gloss Solid · 3 finishes (HG1630, HG1632, HG1634)
Deep, reflective single colors with a lacquer-like sheen that brings light play to kitchens, wardrobes, and feature panels. HG1630 Pure White Gloss is the clean, modern white of contemporary European kitchens.
Soft Matte · 1 finish (MTS1308)
Ultra-low sheen with a velvety soft-touch coating: the premium super-matte look of contemporary European cabinetry. MTS1308 Slate Grey Soft Matte is an even mid-grey that diffuses light on cabinet fronts, doors, and built-ins.
Fabric · 2 finishes (FP1840, FP1842)
Woven textile surfaces with thread-level texture in a wipeable film, from crisp white to mid-grey linen. FP1840 White Linen Weave softens wall panels, wardrobe fronts, and headboard surrounds.

How Renuva is installed
Renuva is a dry application with a felt squeegee. The water-based adhesive is never wetted or activated; it bonds on contact and pressure. The process is the same one professional installers use for any architectural film.
- Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Fill dents, sand smooth, and seal anything porous.
- Measure and cut with extra material for trim and returns.
- Peel the liner back in a band, set the leading edge, and squeegee from the center outward so air leaves at the edges. Work the liner off in short sections.
- Warm gently with a heat gun to conform around edges and gentle contours. Trim, then re-squeegee every edge.
- Keep finish code and roll lot consistent across seams on the same run of doors or panels.
Aftercare is a damp cloth. No abrasives, no harsh solvents, no refinishing. Installation guidance, care notes, and downloadable resources are collected on Renuva resources.

How to buy Renuva in the US
Start with the swatch book
The Renuva Film Swatch Book holds real material swatches of all 27 finishes in a fan-style deck, each cut from the same film we stock in 48 in rolls, with the finish code printed on every swatch. Compare wood grains side by side, match a marble to a countertop, or check how a gloss reads under your lighting. For installers, designers, and fabricators who specify Renuva regularly, it is the one tool that belongs in the truck.
Or order a single sample
Every product page offers an 8 in x 10 in sample of that exact finish. Confirm color and texture in the room before committing to a roll.
Choose your roll
Renuva ships on 48 in wide rolls in two lengths: 48 in x 82 ft and 48 in x 164 ft. All Renuva material is stocked in the US and ships from Surface Supply in 1 to 3 business days under our Quick-Ship program. Order all rolls for a project at once so lot numbers match.
Trade and installer pricing

Common questions
How long does Renuva take to ship?
1 to 3 business days. Every Renuva finish and the swatch book are stocked in the US and ship from Surface Supply.
Is Renuva fire rated?
No. Renuva is not marketed as fire rated. For a project that needs an ASTM E84 Class A report, specify Bodaq or 3M DI-NOC, both of which we stock.
Can I reface my own kitchen cabinets with Renuva?
Flat and gently contoured cabinet fronts are a realistic project for a careful first-timer with a squeegee, a knife, and a heat gun. Doors with deep profiles or heavy damage are better left to a professional installer, and the result depends heavily on surface preparation.
How do I clean it?
A damp cloth. Fingerprints and marks wipe away; there is no refinishing or resealing. Avoid abrasives and harsh solvents.
What does the 5-year warranty cover?
Renuva Architectural Film carries a 5-year warranty on the film. Ask us for the current warranty document with your order and follow the installation and care guidance to keep it valid.
