Bodaq® vs 3M™ DI-NOC™
Surface Supply sells both. This page is a specifier comparison, not a ranking. Choose the film the project already named, or match look, lead time, and documentation.
Who makes each film
Bodaq® Interior Film is manufactured by Hyundai L&C. The official global product site is bodaqglobal.com. Surface Supply is the Official Authorized US Distributor of Bodaq and stocks 460+ finishes.
3M™ DI-NOC™ Architectural Finishes are manufactured by 3M. Surface Supply is an authorized US distributor and stocks 800+ DI-NOC patterns. See the DI-NOC collection.
Where they overlap
Both are architectural films used to resurface interiors without a full tear-out. Both install with a squeegee on prepared, sealed surfaces. Both are specified for millwork, doors, walls, and furniture.
Where they differ
- Library. This site lists 460+ Bodaq finishes and 800+ DI-NOC finishes. Counts move as stock changes; use 460+ and 800+ in specifications, not a snapshot SKU count.
- Install procedure. Bodaq is dry-applied at 12–38°C, with adhesive building for 3–7 days. DI-NOC has its own 3M process, including adhesion testing. Follow Bodaq install or the DI-NOC install guide for the film on the job.
- Fire documentation. Both films are tested to ASTM E84 with Class A results. Every Bodaq interior finish, including the standard versions, is rated Class A for US interior use, with per-series results to CAN/ULC-S102 and DIN 4102-1; Surface Supply sends the current Bodaq report and pattern-code mapping on request (see Bodaq fire ratings). DI-NOC fire data lives on 3M technical data sheets and the DI-NOC FAQ. Pull the document for the film actually on the job rather than copying one brand's line onto the other.
If the drawing already says Bodaq or DI-NOC, stay on that specified product. If you are still choosing, order samples of both and compare grain, gloss, and lead time on the actual substrate.
